In a small community, getting involved in the RFS is a way to meet the locals, make friends and to make a significant contribution to the community. The Brigade is actively involved in supporting events in the local area as well as the obvious roles of fire-fighting and fire prevention.

To become a member you would be welcomed at the Fire Shed on a Monday night. Alternatively, you can introduce yourself by phoning or emailing (use the link on the Contact Page).

The Spencer Rural Fire Service is a vital service protecting the community and responding to bush fires, motor vehicle accidents and structural fires. In addition, the brigade members provide hundreds of hours of volunteer service to the many community events in the Hawkesbury River and the Gosford Shire. Its members have proudly served around NSW and interstate in fire fighting capacity and provide valuable advice and education to the local community. They also conduct ongoing hazard reduction work around the Spencer Village, and assist with hazard reduction work in Mangrove Mountain and Gosford Shire.

Participation in the Brigade is voluntary and we appreciate whatever time, regardless of how little or large, you can give to the Brigade.

If you wish to join our Brigade, please contact us or visit us at our ‘Shed’ on Monday evenings at 1830 Hrs. We look forward to meeting you.
